IL CHIOSTRO DEL CARMINE

IL CHIOSTRO DEL CARMINE The Monastry flourished even before Dante's time, and stands in Via della Diana. There is an ancient Sienese tradition that the goddess of hunting in the greekroman mythology gave her name here to the font of a mythical, impetous, river that ran underground through Siena. Next to the monastery is the San Niccolò Church dated back to the XIII Century with XV Century. Hanging here are important frescoes and paintings from Beccafumi and Manetti.
